5. You don't have to be ready to purchase a home. You don't need an agent to attend open houses. To view a property, contact any agent. Let the agent know you are only looking at it. Tell your agent if you aren't in the right area to buy a home. You can search the internet for properties in your area. You can leave your children with family members or hire a babysitter if you're looking for homes. It can be stressful looking at homes with children. It can be stressful to search for homes with children. You should have a list of what you need, and one that you don't have to have. Your checkbook is the most important thing. If you are serious about purchasing a house, an earnest money deposit may be necessary.

Agents have families and lead the same lifestyle as buyers. Buyers must realize this. Many realtors work hard and aren't paid until the transaction is closed. Respect their hard work.
